Tuesday Tip

This is my nice clean workbench before I Cassie'd it up.
I have some extra long measuring tapes.  They are 100 inches long.  One day, I was bored and I had my E6000 out and it seemed like a logical thing to do.  I glued the measuring tape to the front of my workbench.  It comes in SO handy...especially with ribbon swaps...I just trim off a yard and BAM!  Not to mention it just looks super awesome!

You can see by this last picture that I stand in one place and scrap.  It is a gross, inky mess! Those giant totes under my workbench have ribbon in them.  Hoard much?  Yup!
Can you see my bottle of True Blood?  It gives me extra inspiration! =)
Break out that E6000 and Let's Glue some stuff!!

  4. Excellent idea, I should have thought of this! After years of dealing with a tape measure draped around my neck, sheesh. Thanks for the tip. Love your space!

  5. We're on the same wavelength. I did this on my sewing table, on the walls of the closet where I store my fabric, on my washing machine (which doubles as a work surface), up the side of a support pillar in my basement for measuring scrap wood, and on my ironing board cover. If your whole house doubles as craft/sew/woodworking surfaces, ya gotta do whatever makes the job easier.
